I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I think the Brown family might be up to something. You know how you go out and shoot 104, but there were a handful of shots that make you think you know how to golf. It’s always those shots that bring you back to the course the next time. I feel like the Brown family gave us a few good swings in the draft. Enough to keep devoted (or idiotic) fans coming back. Same thing with hiring Marvin Lewis, or with the 2005 season, or how they manage to win three of the last four games after a 2-10 start. Just like I’m not joining the PGA any time soon, the Bengals are not going to be a competitive franchise until they hire a real GM, and start making consistent good decisions. But here is the conspiracy: If the seats at PBS are full does the Brown family really care? Conspiracy or not, nice job on the draft Bengals, you didn’t give the talking heads any easy material for punch lines, now just get these guys signed and in camp.
